I recently read that, according to Russell T Davies, the Great Time War was triggered by the events seen in "Genesis of the Daleks". I would like to hear others' thoughts on this.

Also, the plot (and even the title) of the series 7 finale is being kept well under wraps, as is the plot of the 50th Anniversary Special. Steven Moffat has hinted that some long-hidden detail(s) will be revealed, which will presumably alter the direction of the show for the next season or two. What are the odds that this secret hinges on some facet of the Time War?
